Laura Toth, LISW-S, is the Director of the Medina County Office for Older Adults

Laura has worked for Medina County for the past 20 years. She began her county work at Children’s Services, then went to Probate Court and has been the director of MCOOA since 2011. Laura has worked hard to build the programming of the Office for Older Adults which includes activities for all ages, like Picnics on the Patio, as well as educational opportunities for seniors through the OSU Extension Office and many other programs, including the home delivered meals program. Home delivered meals are funded through Title III-C of the Older Americans Act, which comes to Medina County through the Ohio Department of Aging and the Western Reserve AAA.

Every weekday, the Office for Older Adults serves over 130 hot meals to some of the county’s most vulnerable citizens, yet the funding for these meals remains woefully inadequate. The Medina County Senior Walk has been a wonderful help in securing meals for our elderly in need. The agency is so thankful for this event and the community support of seniors.

Laura lives in Brunswick, Ohio, with her husband of 20 years and her 2 children. Laura participates on several boards and committees in the community. She is also an active Faith In Action volunteer.
